As part of our series of reports from Summit17, The Scout Association’s national conference, we caught up with Matt Hyde, the Chief Executive of TSA, at Summit17. Summit17 looked at and asked members what should we will be doing beyond 2018, the year in which Vision 2018 expires.

A key part of the weekend was listening to people, Matt discussed how The Association was going to engage with Leaders and other adult members as part of putting the plan together for beyond 2018.

“We are asking people: what do they think are the big issues?”

Matt also touched on the theme of inclusivity, something which a number of delegates had raised during the weekend as a challenge going forward.

“We want everybody, no matter what the background, to enjoy the power of Scouting”
